County Hall Bridge

Location: Southbank, London

Client: London Eye Company

Sector: Bridges and Infrastructure

Cost: £1.5m

Status: Completed in 2000

Built to provide disabled access into the London Eye Ticket office within the Grade II* listed County Hall, the bridge was designed to be as transparent as possible with a glass balustrade to provide minimal intervention within the existing façade of the existing Listed County Hall building.

Marks Barfield consulted closely with English Heritage and the local planning authority to successfully win consent for this bridge.

The bridge was completed in January 2000.
